Oragenics is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company pioneering intranasal delivery of neurological therapeutics. With a focus on conditions that have historically lacked effective treatments—beginning with concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI)—we’re building a platform to address some of the most challenging problems in brain health.
Today, there is no FDA-approved pharmacological treatment for concussion. Our lead candidate, ONP-002, is advancing through
Phase 2 clinical trials with the goal of changing that—transforming how patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems approach neurological trauma.
Where We Are Today
Oragenics is solely focused on intranasal drug delivery for neurological conditions. ONP-002, our Phase 2-ready asset, represents the first potential FDA-approved treatment for concussion—addressing a $49 billion+ market with zero direct competition.
Clinical Progress:
Phase 1 Complete: Safe and well-tolerated across all dose levels with zero serious adverse events
Phase 2a Launching: 40-patient randomized, placebo-controlled trial in Australia
IND Submission Planned: US-based Phase 2b trials targeted for 2026
How We Got Here
Our journey began in antibiotic research, where we discovered novel lantibiotics with potent antimicrobial properties. We pivoted through COVID-19 vaccine development before a transformational 2024 acquisition of Odyssey Health’s intranasal platform positioned us at the forefront of neurological innovation.
